| is supposed to be worse that the "up and down" type shaft play. Turbos, after a good amount of miles will always have some small shaft play., It just means the bearings are starting to wear a bit. Not good in anyway, but it will happen eventually. I would start saving , even if the turbos dont have any shaft play, My turbos didn't have any, but one of them ended up seizing up on me. They both were working PERFECT up to that point. Start saving anyways... and remember save about $3k more than you "think" you'll need. That crap adds up really fast.
